Become a Vendor
What we are looking for!
Vendors are at the heart of the Schenectady Greenmarket, and we’re always looking for farmers, food producers, and artisans who create locally made, high-quality products. We review vendor applications twice a year and welcome businesses who will thrive in a vibrant, community-focused, producer-only market. We are especially interested in new vendors offering products not currently available at the market—particularly wine, prepared foods (especially farm-to-table), gelato, grains, and ground flour.
Because of space constraints and our current vendor mix, it is unlikely that we will accept new vendors in the following categories: soaps, lotions, candles, masks, jewelry, bread, baked goods, distilled alcohol, tinctures/wellness products, pesto, hummus, or honey. We want to be respectful of your time and do not wish to collect application fees when there is little chance of acceptance. Please note that Schenectady Greenmarket is a producer-only market, and all vendors are subject to inspection.
If you offer locally produced goods and are interested in selling at one of the Capital Region’s most popular year-round farmers markets, we encourage you to apply.
Community Tables and Events:
Schenectady Greenmarket offers free space to local community groups, nonprofits, schools, and organizations who want to share their knowledge, creativity, and services with our weekly market visitors. This is a great opportunity to promote your organization and connect directly with the Schenectady community. Groups are welcome to host cooking demonstrations, lead kids’ activities, teach crafts, share gardening expertise, preview upcoming performances, or simply talk with shoppers about the work you do.
We provide a centrally located space within the bustling market, along with a tent, tables, chairs, and promotional support through our newsletter, making it easy for your organization to engage with hundreds of visitors each Sunday. We love highlighting the groups that help strengthen and serve our Schenectady community.
To learn more or to schedule a community table, please contact sgcommunityoutreach@gmail.com. It is FREE to participate.
