🦃🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from Schenectady Greenmarket! 🍁🦃
The Schenectady Greenmarket wishes everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving. We are truly grateful for our incredible vendors, volunteers, shoppers, and community partners who make our market vibrant, welcoming, and full of life each week.
We hope your holiday is filled with good food, great company, and moments of gratitude. Enjoy the day, and we’ll see you when the market returns!
🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Katherine 🌟
This week, we’re celebrating one of our incredible volunteers — Katherine!
Katherine is a friendly and reliable presence at the market, often found helping as a cashier with a smile and steady enthusiasm. She shows up, steps in wherever needed, and brings an energy that makes market days run smoother for vendors, shoppers, and fellow volunteers alike.
Not only is she wonderfully dependable — she also has fantastic taste in music, making Sundays at the market even better.
Thank you, Katherine, for making Sundays that much better.
Be sure to strike up a conversation with Katherine when we head indoors — she’s truly one of the people who makes the Greenmarket such a welcoming place!
From autumn festivals, chicken chases, costume contests, and tomato tastings all the way to the first snowflakes — this outdoor season had its own kind of magic. 🍂❄️
Thank you for making 2025 such an incredible year at the market. We’re grateful for every vendor, volunteer, and shopper who kept this community thriving.
It’s been a wonderful season, and we’re so glad we got to share it with you. See you inside Proctors on December 7th!
🌽🍁 Last Outdoor Market of 2025! 🍁🌽
Come celebrate the final outdoor market of the season with us — let’s make it a good one!
A huge congratulations to Bella Terra on their retirement. Thank you for all the incredible seasons, delicious food, and memories you’ve shared with our community. 💛
Be sure to stop by Jacob’s Farm and Learning Birch this weekend — it’s their last market day until next summer, so stock up while you can!
Let’s send off the 2025 outdoor season with good vibes, great food, and all your favorite local makers. See you at the market! 🧡✨
🌱 We’re looking for volunteers for Market Assistant!
Help us with clicker counting at the Schenectady Greenmarket — a quick, simple task that makes a big impact.
A few details about the role:
• On the sign-up sheet, the job is listed as Market Assistant (it’s the last line in the description).
• Outside, you only need to count for 5 minutes at each corner — and there’s just one more week left!
• Inside, there are only two entrances (one rarely used), so it’s about 10 minutes of counting per hour.
Volunteering at the market means:
✨ Supporting local farmers & small businesses
✨ Getting a behind-the-scenes look at how the market runs
✨ Being part of a vibrant, community-driven space
If you’ve been wanting to get involved, this is an easy way to start — no long-term commitment needed!
