SHOPPING RESOURCES

All of our vendors accept cash, and many also accept credit and debit cards. If you don’t have cash, you can purchase $5 market tokens at the market table using your credit or debit card. Customers with EBT/SNAP cards can sign up for a Double Up Food Bucks Loyalty Card at the market table to shop at the market.

$5 market tokens:

  • $5 tokens may be purchased with credit or debit cards.

  • Market tokens never expire.

  • Cash is given as change, for $5 tokens. (Vendors cannot give tokens as change.)

  • Schenectady Greenmarket Tokens can only be used at Schenectady Greenmarket.

Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB) Loyalty Card:

The Double Up Food Bucks Loyalty Card allows customers with EBT/SNAP benefits to shop at the market. DUFB is run through Field & Fork Network. Signing up for a Loyalty Card is simple! Just come to the market table and let our cashiers know how much money you would like to take off of your EBT/SNAP card to shop. Instead of giving you the $1 tokens we used to administer, you will receive a DUFB Loyalty Card with the amount you requested loaded onto your Loyalty Card. You will also automatically receive a “$1 for $1” match incentive (up to $20/day) loaded onto your card that can be used to purchase produce only from farmers at the market. You can use this card to shop with us every Sunday. Capital Roots and Honest Weight Food Co-op also participates in the Loyalty Card program so you can use your card at these sites too!

Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program: Starts June

FMNP-SNAP benefits are accepted, and the market participates in the Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP). Women and children enrolled in WIC and eligible senior citizens may use FMNP benefit checks/coupons for fresh market produce. The market serves as a distribution site for senior farmers market coupons in early summer. Contact the County Department of Senior and Long-Term Care, Kathleen Albert, Senior Services Coordinator (518-382-8481 X9304) for further information.
