The season of plenty has arrived! As summer heats up, a wide variety of fresh, absolutely delicious bites are in store. From vine-ripe tomatoes to sweet corn to fresh berries, here is a look at the products you’ll most likely see this summer.
Don’t forget you can also always find plenty of baked goods, cheeses, meats, prepared foods and other fantastic locally produced foods and crafts!
Schenectady Greenmarket connects farm and city to create a responsible, sustainable food system–right in the heart of downtown Schenectady. Each Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., vendors, shoppers, musicians and friends gather to purchase fresh local produce and artisan goods in a festive community marketplace. The Outdoor Market takes place from May through October around City Hall. The Winter Market takes place November through April inside Proctors. The market is a 501(c)3 non-profit run by a board of volunteers. Visit schenectadygreenmarket.org for weekly updates and information about vendors, special events, parking and more.
